Introducing Egyptian Government's Real Estate Wealth Inventory and Management Project - Webinar
In the context of its efforts to regulate the Egyptian real estate sector and address increasing building code violations, the Government of Egypt (GoE) announced its intention to embark on the above-mentioned project which is two-fold;
(1) to create a national ID for all residential and commercial properties in Egypt;
(2) enhance the automation of Egypt's building permit system. This project will have a notable impact on real estate trading in Egypt, including expediting registration and licensing procedures, reducing building code violations, increasing the property value, as well as preventing fraud and corruption. It will also enhance the property owner's ability to obtain and manage services such as gas, electricity, etc., in addition to settling relevant taxes and dues, with economic implications on the business environment in Egypt.
